  • Couples Counselling Session

Support for partners feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in the same arguments. We slow things down, untangle reactive cycles, and get clear on what is actually happening underneath the conflict.

The work is structured and goal-oriented, focused on communication, repair, and accountability, so you can feel like a team again instead of co-managers of logistics.

  • Clinical Consultations

    30 MINS · VIRTUAL

Clinical support for therapists working with perinatal clients. Consultation and training focused on relational dynamics, emotional labour, and couples themes that surface in individual therapy. We look at how to stay within scope, reduce burnout, and navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.

Hello, I am Sam.

A Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia who works with individuals and couples navigating relationship strain, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. My approach is evidence-based, structured, and collaborative, with a clear plan and zero fluff.

I specialize in perinatal and postpartum mental health, supporting clients through the psychological and relational shifts that come with pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Rooted in attachment and relational therapy, my work addresses anxiety, depression, trauma, and couples’ distress with clarity, compassion, and accountability.

  • Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and anchored in real life. I work primarily from a relational lens, which means we pay attention to patterns between you, not just what’s happening inside each of you, but how you move together.

I’m not here to take sides or assign blame. I’m here to help you slow things down, understand what’s underneath the tension, and find your way back to each other in a way that actually feels doable outside the therapy room.

Especially in the perinatal period, I hold space for both the strain and the strength in your relationship. We make room for the hard conversations—but we also stay connected to what’s working, what matters, and why you chose each other in the first place.

  • I value honesty over perfection, and depth over quick fixes.

This work isn’t about becoming a “better” couple on paper—it’s about feeling more like yourselves again, and more connected to each other in the middle of real life.

    I believe:

    • You can be struggling and still deeply committed

    • Both partners’ experiences matter, even when they conflict

    • Repair is more important than getting it right the first time

    • The good in your relationship deserves just as much attention as the hard

I also value transparency and respect in the therapeutic relationship. You’ll always know where I stand, and you’ll always be met with care—not judgment.

  • I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) based in British Columbia, with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a background in fine arts—which shapes how I see relationships as dynamic, layered, and deeply human.

My work is focused on couples, particularly during the transition into parenthood. This season of life can bring a lot to the surface—identity shifts, resentment, disconnection—and it’s also a powerful window for change.

Alongside my clinical training, I’ve pursued additional education in perinatal mental health and relationship dynamics. I also bring lived experience into this work—as a parent myself, I understand how quickly things can shift, and how hard it can be to stay connected through it.

My goal is to offer therapy that feels both grounded and useful—something you can actually take with you into your daily life, not just something that lives in the hour we spend together.
