Sam, she/her offers modern, evidence-based therapy for couples who want to rebuild connection, repair trust, and navigate relationship challenges with clarity and care. Rooted in the understanding that strong relationships require ongoing attention, Sam offers a nonjudgmental space for partners to explore the deeper dynamics that shape how they relate to one another.
With Sam, couples, partners, ethically non-monogamous, and polyamorous relationships can learn how to engage with each other more intentionally—navigating hard conversations with less defensiveness and more curiosity. Sam believes that conflict isn’t a sign your relationship is broken; it’s often a sign that something deeper needs to be seen and understood. Through this work, folks will uncover the unmet needs and underlying emotions driving their disconnection, and be able to respond to one another with empathy, clarity, and respect.
Whether you’re struggling with communication, feeling emotionally distant, managing conflict, or adjusting to a major life transition—such as becoming parents, relocating, or experiencing loss—we help you slow down and engage in the work required to reconnect.
Rather than offering surface-level solutions, Sam’s practice emphasizes emotional safety, relational depth, and sustainable growth. Her approach draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment theory, the Gottman Method, and systems-based frameworks to support couples in moving out of stuck patterns and back into secure, meaningful connection. She specializes in high-stress life phases—including the perinatal and postpartum period—and offer tools for managing the mental load, emotional labor, and identity shifts that often arise during these demanding seasons.
“Clients work with me at all stages: some in active crisis, others feeling distant or unsettled and wanting to address things before they grow. Some are navigating infidelity or a loss of intimacy; others are simply overwhelmed by the pressures of parenting or caregiving.
Wherever you are in your relationship, working with me will centre your lived experience and offer a grounded, collaborative path forward.”
Based on the West Coast, Sam offers virtual sessions for couples across British Columbia and unregulated provinces. All identities, backgrounds, and relationship structures are welcomed and affirmed here. Sam’s practice is trauma-informed, inclusive, and tailored to your goals—not a generic how-to.
